These candleholders just wouldn't be round. The pieces used here might have been considered waste material from a bench I was building in the shop...but in my world you don't waste any bit of wood. So here they are...four quarters if you will...removing the bark reveals a pleasing visual record of bug activity and the deep tones in the wood are warm and bold.
