The actual coaster came from a fallen tree in my backyard. The pine part of the base was waste from a custom bed project I worked on a few months back. The cherry sides to the holder were part of a natural hollowed log found in a swamp on an abandoned railway that boarders the back of my property. The critters had used the hollow as their home for the winter and abandoned it by the time I found it this spring. All are sanded and clear coated for a nice finished look. The open front puts the coasters on display and makes them more readily available for those in immediate need.
