At AikenKraft we do our very best to keep stuff…especially cool stuff…out of the landfill.
This mini wine barrel was found on a local porch suffering from exposure to the weather. We recovered it and converted it into this wonderfully simple side table.
The top is round and features barn board recovered from a local barn (sadly taken down to make way for the latest subdivision). You can’t hide the fact that this board was sawn using an old school mill…the chatter marks from the blade tell the story.
We simply clear coated this ‘greyboard’ to bring out its naturally deep, earthy tones.
