This desk was custom made from the material we milled on our portable sawmill.
By recovering a local barn from a developer we were able to feature re-sawn barn beams in this piece. We left the chatter marks from the blade on the surface of the wood to keep that old-world charm.
The shelves were fashion from quite a unique cedar door that was purchased at an estate sale. There are even windows on this shelf, which represent remnants of the original purpose of the material.
All surfaces are clear- boated with water-based polyurethane for lasting protection.
Because we process all our own material on site we have plenty of unique barn parts on the premises including beam, greyboard, and various other structural members that we’d be happy to incorporate into a custom made a project for you!
