These cedar chairs were custom designed and sized for a ‘big customer’ and their family.
The beauty of having things custom made is that we can give you exactly what you want every time.
The material was harvested from a local farm that was cutting an irrigation line to connect two fields.
The bark was hand-peeled prior to cutting and assembling all the pieces.
The flat boards were processed using our trusty sawmill.
Traditional round mortise and tenon joinery were used wherever possible.
We’d be happy to make a chair or chairs that are perfectly suited to you!
The side tables or stools have 5-inch thick maple rounds as their top and feature cedar legs with a nice wide stance to avoid tipping.
You might notice a bowtie repair on each top??
In today’s market, we call this a feature rather than a flaw.
The towel tree features a maple base and perhaps the most unique tree we’ve managed to build into a project. Apparently this cedar puts a ‘twist’ on our towel tree design.
The ‘branches’ are hand shaped and installed at strategic locations to maximize the storage capacity and functionality of the unit.
