Juxtaposing colour and texture is a thing of beauty when done correctly.
In this case, we crafted the seat from spalted maple, which has some beautiful veins of colour running through it.
The legs are a unique design and feature skid wood recovered from a local HVAC company.
Until we came along these skids were being burned or thrown out…what a shame!
We decided to stay with the natural wood colours (what we do whenever possible) and simply clear-coated the bench to lock in its beauty and protect it for years to come.
