This pine top bench features cedar legs that are tied into the top (from below) using round mortise and tenon joints. Translation…its uses traditional joinery that is simple and works.
We widened the stance of the legs slightly to ensure stability for the person using the bench.
We can make this sort of thing in any size with any wood species.
Benches like this can be made quite roughly for outdoor use and much more refined if wanted for indoors.
