This was actually my first attempt at the airbrush. I was a vendor at one of those dreaded county fairs....trying to sell my wares as it were. The background is a stenciling effect I achieve by spraying over found objects (in this case glass and leaves) with spray paint and then removing the objects to reveal a negative space. The portrait is taken from an original photograph I took of a friend of mine, Jason, who has always been a great poser. The photograph was overexposed to reveal a face-mask of sorts, and I decided it was a happy accident. It was fun to create this piece while people watched.
The 1/4 inches plywood is mounted to a 2 x 2-inch stretcher for a solid structure.
