This piece was inspired by William Gibson's book Neuromancer. The cyberpunk vision for the future finds some people jumping realities to police the degradation of society on all levels. This is a precursor to The Matrix in a way. This is another self-portrait using another person in my place. The background and much of the foreground was created using a palette knife, dragging the paint in a sort of drawing rather than painting technique. Our hero is a smoker and has a triumphant pride in this last remaining "choice" of his. He lives and dies on his own terms....or does he?!
