This image was constructed using two techniques.
There is some underpainting on the surface of the plywood that was done in acrylic paint.
The landscape itself is created by hand driving tens of thousands of nails into plywood.
There are roofing nails all the way down to finishing nails involved.
The last step is to spray paint both the clouds and water (being sure to mask off any areas that are to remain unpainted).
Of the hundreds of pieces of art that AikenKraft has created over the years, this is our favourite.
It is our tribute to Algonquin Park, one of the finest places to camp in the world.
